and the wonderful gesture with her hands adjusting her shades that by the way way have a beautiful tint. The clear beautiful eyes and even the way the hat rests on her head. Believe I have seen many paintings with the hat not resting right sometimes looking like it had fallen from the sky and just landed there. Nice

Kathleen, thank you for commenting on cactus flowers! This is very good. Watercolor is not the best for portrait work, hard/soft pastels, or oil paints are the prefered medium. colored pencils (derwent) are also good but since you like portraits, don't make it hard, use a medium which lends itself to the subject.
