Brilliantly painted, but also very moving, the common human states up for social sterilization... the suffering.

Artist Statement
for glennbrady

My name is glenn brady and i was born in 1966 in Brisbane Australia...
I grew up outside of the city in a suburb that looked like 50 other suburbs...a couple of shops..churches.. 2 schools and a large industrial estate where at one stage i ended up along with other 15 year old school leavers in charming jobs such as sorting nuts and bolts, cutting out plastic shapes or shaping cheap furniture on massive machines...like home..i soon left...but it had left its mark..
these days i just paint..i left the city and now live by the sea in a small town about a hours drive away....
but im still surrounded on the outside by houses and rows of fast food joints and car yards....and in my head a battle with depression and mental illness that has been with me since i was a teenager...hospitals,shock treatment and a lovely buffet of various medications..!
but i get by..and try my best..sometimes with the simple joy of a bright, blue sky day, music, colours and life..or the anger and frustration of my own jumbled up mind...
im not through yet...

all paintings done with acrylics and pastels...
i have never studied art...
