I love the way the blue and green compliment each other in this one. And the shape of the trees is particularly expressive. This makes the negative space in the sky very appealing. The use of red along the right side breaks up the space nicely too. There are many great things going on in this image. Kat Flint

Maureen GranthamMost of my paintings are of the natural world around me. I live in a beautiful part of the country and am inspired by my local environment.
I had some frustration trying to get the small details on this canvas. What other surfaces do you realist painters use to get a better result on fine detail?
This is superb Linda and a definite fav for me..love the way the blue is made so bright against the grey...I never paint fine detail so cannot help with your... view answer
