Here are two lovers under the apple tree. They are entwined with each other and by the trees roots, rooted down to mother earth and yet from between the mountains the sun is rising, calling their spirits to soar higher. Symbolizing adam and eave under the tree of knowledge. Inspired by my love Brett.

Artist Statement

Hi, my name is Valezka. I am a self taught artist living in Australia. I would like to present my original art work to you. My web site is called pachamamaart.com. You can also view my art on yessy.com/pachamamart and picasawebalbums.com
I am a stay at home mother of 4 and I am also the carer of a horse herd of elders as I call them who come in to share their wisdom and healing with me in the last years of their lives. It is through my friendship with the horse elders and my children, family and friends that I find inspiration to paint what I call dreamtime paintings, a symbolic representation of pachamama, or the Earth Mother, depicted by images of women, horses, trees and the land. Colourful and flowing portraits of round forms and shapes, women entangled in embraces with horses and the trees. These are paintings that aim to express the powerful underworld of a woman's life, where she is wild and free and connected, where there is no separation, only communion with all life and above all else communion with her wild woman.
