It is too too beautiful, you have of the surement a lot of time on this work and it is very makes a success, the nuances of colors in the blacks are excellent and indeed on the magnificent landscape.

This is so beautiful. I see a yellow labrador retriever on the right side underneath the big tree. Just his head peeking out of the folliage looking down at the pool wondering if he can get down there for a drink.

Well its taken a couple of days and myself and several friends searching but we finally found the Labrador! We also found spaniels, great danes and my daughter swears she can see winnie the pooh in the rocks by the water fall. Ghesh I have got to get a life! lol. Thanks so much for the comment Ervin, we had great fun with this one. Warm regards. Susie.

Mac Thank you for your kind words. But I must just say please do not sell yourself short. Your work is anything BUT ameturish or pale. Your work is amazing. Your abstract work is also impressive. I love 'Splash'. Art takes and captures us all in different ways. I paint because, like you it is my passion and what I love to do. All the very best to you Mac, can't wait to see your finished piece.

susie. glad you like my new watercolor. i just got to see your beautiful black and white landscapes. i love them. most people think color is more difficult to accomplish but the asians are taught to learn black and white first. to master it , and then use color as a good spice.just a touch here and there. in black and white one must have all colors in the two.. not easy but you are doing it well.have you ever tried chinese ink with brush.. you might it. and so might the viewers. thanks for beautiful work.

Artist Statement
for Susie Hawkins
Susie HawkinsHello my name is Susie Hawkins. I am a Painter and Sculptor. I paint mostly in Acrylics, but I use oils and other mediums too.
My sculptures are all made from 99% recycled materials. The 1% is the paint and glue that I buy.
But painting is my passion. I can totally immerse myself in my own world and create where I want to be, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Most of my friends think I am off with the faeries when I am working and they are probably right! My girls have learned that the best way to get a raise in their allowance, is to wait until mum is working. Clever lot! I work from the mind straight onto canvas and let my brushes lead me. I love to paint to music and my daughters say they can tell what I was listening too by my paintings. The thing is they are rarely wrong!
Finally I would like to say a big thank you to all my friends and wonderful people here on PIL. Your encouragement and support has given me the confidence I needed both in my work and myself to strive to do better. I lost my youngest daughters father a couple of years ago, another Artist and my soul mate. For a long time I was lost, but not any longer, I know he would be so proud of how far I have come and would have loved this site as much as I do. Thank you and bless you all.
