I am not a huge fan of the colors...they are a little too pastel for my taste. bUt I see that you were referencing some Degas/ Renoir, might i suggest laying out the background beforehand if you hadn’t already. The figure is lost in it so if you laid it out much darker the figure would be more apparent and much more whimsical.
