Robert, Thank you. It is interesting the different things people see in abstracts. I hear this looks like a wave of water, a marlin jumping and others. I appreciate your comment it means a lot to me to hear from everyone. It seems all my work leans towards power and I use very bold colors. Don't really know why...I just paint feelings and like color...lol. Thanks again. carolyn

Wondeful study of wet on wet work. I am interested in your material. I assume it is watercolor. I saw that you made a remark regarding "organic". I use organic foods and if I could find organic w/c I would be in heaven. Your work is well balanced, exciting and wonderfully balanced in color. Great work

An exciting painting. At first I thought it was based on the exploding German Zepplin (not sure how to spell that) - but regardless great use of colour and design. 5 ***** From Mike

Dear Friends, collectors, and all who view my work.

Let me take a moment to thank you, and allow you a glimpse into who I am.

I was born in a small town just south of Atlanta GA, Dec. 24th 1961. My 4 younger sisters and I were raised on biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, and butter beans. My parents did the best they could on daddy’s $9,000.00 annual income. We raised our food from the yard and mother made our clothes. Life was very simple then.

In 2005 I decided to try my hand at painting. I started out with abstract and experiment with fantasy, visionary and surrealism. I feel my work leans towards raw, dark, powerful, passionate, sometimes disturbing and uplifting all at the same time. People ask me, what is it I paint? My answer is feelings.

My art is my only source of income. I live a modest life, filled with appreciation and gratefulness. I wish only to express all that I am in my work. My life has thus far been a varied and colorful journey. I hope others will find inspiration in the art which stems from these experiences, and that a piece of it will find its place in your home.

May you be blessed.

Sincerely
Methec
