Sunday morning at Kyson Point
Oil on board,14"x11"experimental oil painted on site and finished at home, took about 4 hours in all, had to leave after 2 hours else I'd have been sitting in the river, I should be grateful to receive your comments as this is the style I would like to develope for oils

I am so glad to have found P.I.L and be able to communicate with so many artist friends from all over the world. I have always loved art and have learnt such a lot from all you lovely talented members. I paint just for the joy of it, though I do like to sell my paintings sometimes, if only to keep the loft clear.

This Day Last Year
One of the problems of en Plein Air, your eye takes in more than your canvas. I always found it hard to control the composition. You can make a small view finder out of cardboard...similar to a mat board with a rectangle cutout only small...cutout 2x3 or so. Many artist use it in the field....
