Hi Mark - a lovely abstract. Being a pianist my mind saw pianos and piano strings. Is the title suggestive of the Alexandria in Egypt?Cheers from Mike

Artist Statement
for mark evans
mark evansI taught for a number of years in Westminster until 1997 when I took up painting full-time. There have been exhibitions of my work at places such as The Royal Commonwealth Society and The Purcell School of Music.
I approach my work by exploring simple geometric forms, curved and straight lines, open and closed shapes .
Often, I work in two or three colours with just variations in tone and texture. The overall aim is hopefully to create something pleasing.
