Her Eyes are Masked Out so you... by Chrisann

Her Eyes are Masked Out so you can't see her inner soul suffering from all types of pain.

She always shows her outer beauty. But she won't let you see inside her eyes as she won't share her pain with the world.
This is my first attempt with a Self Portrait and this is dedicated to my dear friend Paula Kerr whom believed that I could paint and draw a portrait. She is such an inspiration to me! Thank you Paula!
This was a portrait of when I was younger with long reddest brown hair... but maybe I painted Paula with feeling her inspiration... what do you think?

Dear Chrisann , what a great idea to show it this way.
There is very deep emotion in this work. The colours you used are so beautiful and i love her red hair. I love the way you covered her eyes with this kind of fake eyes lashes.
Very well done my friend. All my best , Robert

Chrisann, this is not only very touching and symbolic, but beautifully painted - a very clever semi-abstract portrait! 5*

Chrisann, I'm looking at your painting again, and it is really special! I didn't mention how much I love that red hair as well ... doing hair in watercolor is a major challenge! I'm trying to teach myself to paint faces now, so I know what your're describing! Hugs, Rene

Oh I am with Paul on the hair, it really is so stunning and the dark eye area really contrasts with the soft features that make her look so beautiful and vulnerable. Her lips are divine,I love the softness overall Chrisann, do more please ! xxxxx

How beautiful she is Chrisann. The dark eyes give it the feel you were hoping for, without a doubt. Her skin and face look so soft and tender. You did so well with her hair, and in watercolor. Very impressive work. I'm so glad you finally got it done. I know how anxious you were to do well with it. Congratulations! Love it! ******!

BTW, I am trying real hard to get a really sharp digital photograph of the mountains drawing you have wanted me to share here. The lighting isn't working right, and my name shows up so blurry. I get glare spots that take away the color. I want to get it as up close as I can so it will look good for print sales. The pics you have seen have either paper edges showing or too cropped to see my signature. I'm working on it. I have a couple of other works I am doing the same thing with that you haven't seen yet. I know you won't want to miss them so I will let you know when I got them right and adding them here.
All my best.

My dear dear friend, this is so very beautiful. I'm sorry I haven't been on earlier, the heavy storms here have interferred with my connections to the net. They are still working on fixing the problem. I love this so very very much!!! Paula XXX
