Susan, this is a great composition and image. Your paint work is flowing and very appealing visually for the viewer. My only comment is (for what it's worth) is you have highlighted the face and the body very well, but the hat and the hair protruding from under the hat are not highlighted much. This is giving a 'slight' discrepancy to the two parts. Just an observation I'm mentioning. Otherwise, it is a great picture.

Maree,, Thanks for the complements on the composition and image. And how my paint work is flowing and very appealing visually. I appreciate it very much. Just to respond to your critique also: the brim of the hat of course is creating a shadow and blocking the light as hats do from allowing a strong highlight under it as a matter of interest I have actually taken artist license and lightened the shadows under her hat to complement the viewer seeing her beautiful riviting eyes on both the lit side and the shadow side of her face. But at the time I felt I couldn't take the highlights up too much more or I'd have to darken the shadows down. They (highlights) are there albiet alittle too soft of a value change maybe but alas the original is in someone else's hands now and they are quite happy , I hope they don't read this comment or they may want their money back...lol This was a commission and the paying party was more interested in a portrait than in a true painting of what we saw there on the beach nearing sunset. Thank you you do have a good eye I do appreciate the comment from such an awesome artist as yourself. Thank you. Sincerely, Susan

Look online for giclee prints. You take a really good photo of it at high resolution and crop it well then send the digital image in the format they ask for Jpeg or PDF image then get the prints. I know you could sell this to a lot of people I seriously would buy one I don't want you to give it to me. I'll buy it, it will be your first sale of the prints. This is a very special painting. Seriously. Show it to the church where the communiom was take it there and see if anyone would be interested. The giclee's cost about $45. U.S. for a 16" x 20" If they have a gift shop put it in there. I'm telling you this is a money maker they are hard to come buy. Make money on it if you don't want the money give it to the church. I once did a photo like this and made a living off of it for a year. It's cheaper to do on paper than canvas. You should charge at least double what it cost to print 3 times would be better. put the image out there and it will sell.The good thing about giclees is you can make a few at a time so it doesn't cost hundreds or thousands like it used to for lithographs and you had to buy hundreds at a time. Also put allposters.com in your search engine and look it up send them an email with a copy of this painting in the email ask them if they would be interested in the image for a poster. I really think they would buy it from you. It's really beautiful. Really. Warm regards, Susan
