Hi Jody! Thank you for your question. Well, this is the final painting of a short story in six canvas. I have them all here, and you can see it together in "the lying cross". Behind the door, it's a world of sadness, despair and verbal violence. So it is a world left behind.

Artist Statement

Portugal

I paint only with oil and i didn't had any painting lessons, mainly because i don't have time with two kids. for me it's just something i must do in life. it's an obsession. :-)
I live in Lisbon, Portugal and my roots count with Africa where i was born and lived till 9 years old. I am portuguese from my mother side also and have Goa's roots from my father. This is why i have influences from all corners of the world, even though i know almost nothing from asian or african culture! i'm almost 45 years old and i paint since i know myself...:-)well, i love all cultures when they reveal all they're wonderfull being!
