beautiful portrait! 5*****
I doubt if it would fit the modern art category though!

I find a lead in modern painting with a very graphic attitude, but often portraits then become very stereotype, very little detailed. Black and white most often will be turned grayscale to picture those details that make a portrait, --- black and white is difficult to use there.

Thank's, -- in essense modern I agrea but I realise this can become a discussion but if you look at my newest "Sunshine Bakery", I has the same problem ; -- I see this style as an experiment and one that build ontop my street art attitude, now I just paint the streets and not on the street, but I has problems describing the style. See there are landscape painting, but Streetscape sound so silli, still this Urban town scene is particular, -- the oil drum and charecters around, something you see in most major city surroundings, kind of a modern scenery is how I percive it, -- please, any advise, suggestion, name for style is highly appriciated.
Thank's

Outstanding five star work Per! Many times, less is more and this portrait is fine example.

Thank's, I guess I am changing between portraits and scenes people, urban streets, two opposite technikes -- maybe it would be better to stay with one style untill perfection, and then explore the next.

Thank's I try stay with english guess you don't mind, but these day's it is on my mind, if I shuld simply look for a way to put my touch on the arts scene, by simply make a project, where I teach people about my methods. Guess you know painting for me very much deal with develobing the method, and when that is there test the options. See I know I could revolusionise the intire street arts scene, by allowing my secrets to get free. -- Still maybe it is better to wait a year or so, or get a group together who swear to keep the methods protected --- but is is a thing I think a lot about.

I love the "overexposed" aspect. The viewer’s mind has to supply the edges and only the truly significant detail remains. Excellent proportions too.

Per this is so real and so sharp that I show it to my students today and about half of the class trying drawing but realise it's not easy.

Thank's.
What is for you reconised is for me, mere --more-- a perfection in crafts. So it is about arts, some of the best belongings, is a perfection of a tool, natural tallent, true tallent offcaurse. To display an image as you want, do it in halve an hour, sone it topdown compared the methods avaible and so get the perfestion.
This is what this image also display, for me. --- made an error when 14 day's ago I put a portrait of what I thought to be BobMarley , I realised just when I nailed the last nail with a hammer. ; This was not BM, not this guy with a Join, in his hand. That could easily be a manipulated image. So, now after 14 day's I tool it down with the crowbar, repaintted it compleatly, it's two sheets taced together in the middle with Gaffa, to somewhat double one's size.
Anywat my splendid cheap, 14 Mp. is in France for restore, so I can't show the new image, the unaltered, it's up now, and I am going to extend it on smaller pieces that will also be nailed in situ.

So for me, experimenting, trying out, jettison and refining was only possible in the shortcut, of develobing a method, As a biproduct so to say, Master the avaible methods is not that nessery, as long as you can divide a third with a halve. Art is not difficult to the one who master it, but mastering is not nessery for producing just a few reasoable pieces.

So subtle. Beautiful!

Thank's but let's not forget the magic come from one of our greatest artist, As painter I guess it is about catching this unique expression, But also it is so exiting with this "language" we as humans can decifer even it carry no words. Guess you know, that for me, this painting is nothing less, nothing more than any other motiv, but if It happen an image can wake your picture of this great singer, then there are one happy painter.
