a stitch in time by jarestar

a stitch in time

A stich in time is all we need, to come together.
As one the shadow depicted that points backwards, in the shadow of the past. The shadow to the front of the sticks, is the future, they hold a clock, the clock is set on now, and it is now the time to act, now is the time to change, now is the time to start again,
call it day 1
The stiches of cloth, represents the tearing of the contries, and people, and freinds, and even families, loosely, they hang at the end of the fabric that ties us together, its very flimsy, now we all got nukes, the hand is the hand, that swings the balance,
we all must, wish, would stop the clock, and reset time, and until all is peace.
We live in limbo, and it only takes a couple of wrong moves, and everybodies getting pushed, further apart, and soon the fabric will fall apart.
and all will be lost, and the hand can never reset the clock.

Artist Statement
for jarestar
jarestarthankyou all at PIL, for all your comments about my work, as i endevour to do my best, and to better myself in all areas of fine arts and painting, all this and a university degree, and i havent even scratched the surface, ive found more relivant information, and more true peer assesment and cretiques, that are out there, on the PIL sight, that is without the back-handedness of the education system, as i know what is said to you, and the final outcome of education assesment, are two most seperate things.
i did acheive a distinction or two, but was never asked or informed about other people, having exhibitions, until it was too late, and out of the masses of work that i had created and the genres, that i atempted, i was not taken seriously, throughout my four years of study, yet they would smile say hi and say that the work that i pumped out was exelent (as i work quickly, and somewhat expressivly and figratively)
nobody at uni took me seriously, until i started my own community arts group, where i teach my own pupils.
so i had not known my real true value, and sold my work cheap and even at car boot sales.
i have now had 5-6 of my own exhibitions
i now teach and co-ordinated the arts group (that is in its 5th year).
i was really happy the day i found PIL and became a member.
now i can talk to people 1 on 1, and get real assesment of my work, and world wide critique, without standing face to face, and getting lied to by students and lectures alike, what i am trying to say is, sorry if i put a painting in the wrong group, and sorry if some seem to look some what fraudulant(as i do not intend it to be, or it, to be, of an offence to this forum)
So thankyou all at PIL for your kind words, and the words of all peers out there, trying to make a stand, and by commenting on my work, so thankyou all, as i begin to spread my work globaly, as i spread my roots and try to bloom into a professional stance, and thankyou to all my wonderful loving freinds, that i have met through PIL
