Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my art!
I was born and raised in Los Alamos, NM, and then attended Northern Arizona University where I studied Art and Interior Design. I moved to Bend 25 years ago and wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world!. I began my career as an artist in 1998 as a faux painter and muralist. Prior to that I worked as an Interior Designer. I have been selling my acrylic paintings since 2001, and have exhibited extensively throughout Central Oregon.
For me painting is a form of meditation. I find great fulfillment in expressing my spirit through the color and texture of my art. The style and subject matter of my work is always changing. Light, texture and mood are the key elements I use to compose my works. I like my paintings to be dramatic and calm at once. I tend to paint series of art usually based on different color palettes. I'm always thinking of my art in terms of Interior Design. I like to have at least three paintings that could complement a space and that speak to each other. I feel that I have a keen eye for color and can customize my paintings to match any interior.
I will always be inspired by what I witness of the outer world, but I am now also very excited to explore the world within.
