Artist Statement
for Lissi Lyngsø
for Lissi Lyngsø
My name is Lissi Lyngsø, lives in Randers, Denmark, have two adult sons and two grandchildren.
I am self-taught artist and has drawn and painted since I was able to keep the gear.
The inspiration comes from everywhere: feelings, moods and experiences, my inner world images are a great inspiration for my paintings. I frequently use instrumental music as accompaniment when I paint.
I am also inspired by my surroundings, I see, reflect, and leaves the impression being expressed.
Many of my pictures are several years in the making, either as a half-finished canvas just waiting or as a thougt og dream, that sometimes pushes on. Of course it happens that I do not have expressed what I want, but I still have to just try again.
When I paint, I would like to model and create form and depth of color, I would like the viewer to feel drawn into the picture.
The freedom to express exactly what I want, I put high.
(I'm sorry about my english, it's from my school 35 years ago and very rusty)
