for Paul Berkholst
Paul Berkholst, also known as PaulB or unica lives in Amsterdam. Painted all his life but besides that musicfreak and assistant creative catalyst for many artists who come to Holland.
Main musical influence FRANK ZAPPA. Artistic influence ANTON HEYBOER & COBRA.
Had several exhibitions in Amsterdam and was winner of the Talens price of 1994.
I made my "Studies Of Rhythm" pieces by just put a piece of paper on the table put on some music and see what happens. It is a sort of drumming on paper so to speak. Some are ready in a few seconds, others I worked out more. It is indeed action painting. Music used ranged from classic to jazz to rock etc.
