Good job young lady! I've known times when I felt as lonely and faraway from home! Very emotive painting. Thanks for sharing it.

Artist Statement
for Jo O'brien Welch
Jo OI am a self taught artist. I began painting in September 2006 with my first painting, Summer of '66, which is shown on this site. Over the past year I decided to try my hand at painting birds, and have enjoyed the challenge. I put my heart and soul into every painting that I do, and I think that is evident in my work. Although most of my painting are quite realistic, I have tried to add a painterly aspect to them too.
