Hi Joy great news TSX has been awarded funding and we have a launch party and exhibition on the 9th Ferbuary where your painting will be on display along with so many others that have been donated. we open the first of 4 community art and social drop-in-groups on the 15th Feb and a second in April. TSX has grown so quickly my head is spinning and far quicker than we could ever have hoped. So again thank you for your donation and I hope that over the comming years we can spread our wings to many places in the world.

The little square does not do your painting justice with the result that it runs the risk of being passed up. There's a lot that doesn't show until one looks at the bigger image. Your entire painting is gossamer, veils upon veils upon veils in my favourite colours.

for Joy Walford

I have loved paints and pencils all my life, as a child my favourite pastime was drawing and painting, and being raised in the bush fostered a love of nature, ..however life became busy as I grew older and had family and I only had time to dabble, now I am a little older and a little more eccentric, I have time to explore all the idea's stored up in my mind- I have never taken lessons in art, I believe everyone can create art if they wish too, and art means different things to different people, I paint what I love and I love nature and colour, Natures butterflies/leaves/twigs/flowers/bugs/birds etc are all such perfect works of art- . I try to create beautiful art that is a pleasure for the eyes, it should brighten up a mood and a room, I dont like to paint the ugly side of life, it intrudes on our happiness enough without my adding to it- Art, to me should be always pleasing to the eye and the soul of both the artist and the viewer. . I paint for the joy of painting and nature and life provide me with abundant material, if my paintings project even a smidgen of the mystery that is life, and if they make someones day brighter, then I am happy-
I paint commission work and most of my sales are word of mouth, I have started painting peoples pets in fantasy situations and that is a lot of fun.
I love browsing this site and reading about other artists while I admire their talent and skill..
