In A One Horse Open Sleigh

This is the second in a series of seasonal paintings my wife ordered. You've seen the fall Thanksgiving painting, here is the winter scene located outside for her decor on the front portaco of the house. 32 x 36 inches - acrylic on Birch panel

Just gorgeous. It is the scene of an American Christmas eve. So very far removed from an Aussie one as you could possibly get!! A ride in a sliegh through the soft white snow, then inside to stand in front of a crackling log fire sipping warm coffee or egg nog?? Here in Oz. Tearing up the bitumen in the V8, then inside standing under the air con, drinking a cold stubbie! And now Melanie has me singing that song!!! lol Here's hoping that you and yours have the very best ever Christmas day and the happiest and most creative year ever... xxx

Artist Statement
for MuralMan
MuralManMy name is William Craig Buis. I am a mural artist and make my living with my brush. I'm doubly cursed as my art is my passion as well as music. To make money at either is a challenge. One which I relish.

I reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma and have traveled the world over. I knew I wanted to be an artist since I was five years old. I have painted murals from Australia, Hawaii to Korea as well as many states in the US. My specialty is Trompe L’oeil. Over the past two years I discovered and started painting ACEO (Art Cards Editions and Originals). Several are featured here for your consideration. These are very collectable and are really quite affordable, and are a wonderful way to collect fine art from all over the world.

Sentimental Art
I have noticed PopArt seems to get less comments than other forms of art, is it because it is thought of as a 60's thing or is there another reason?
This very cheeky Graham and I love it,, especially the bright colours. No doubt about you having a go at anything and coming up trumps every time. Big... view answer
