Ah, thank you. Are you saying I should put it in color? Maybe. It's an older work, a tough year for my soul, yes, you were right about that.

Artist Statement
for Celeste Schor
Celeste SchorArt is a spiritual endeavor to me. I went to art school (Tyler School of Art) to learn technique, studied with Charles Schmidt and Roger Anliker there and continue studies at Fleisher Art Memorial. I really wanted to learn the techniques of the "old" masters. I see on PIL many self-taught artists who are way better than me. I've been drawing and painting and working with clay since I can remember, starting with drawing on the walls with a dime, lol. I studied in Rome, Italy for a bit, saw Florence (my favorite city), Athens, Paris, Venice, Sienna. When I got married and had children, I didn't paint much. But now my time is more free, and my mind as well, thank God. I've had a couple small shows and sold some, but most of my work is given to my family or it's in my closet. It is inspiring to see so many have professional art careers. I am a geographer by trade. I really do not know the business end of art at all. It seems mysterious to me, outside my realm or something. I hope that will change in the future. This site is wonderful and inspiring. I adore seeing all the art and reading the bios. You are such great artists and so supportive. Thank you everyone who has commented on my work. I am so happy to have found my tribe. I am making friends here. And I cherish friendship.
